RAINATHON

 RAIN - it's not just a downpour, it's pure magic! Who doesn't get excited about the idea of dancing in the rain? Picture this - a day immersed in the rain, sans umbrellas or raincoats, just you and the elements, traversing 20/30 kilometers on foot. This encapsulates the very spirit of Rainathon! Following the success of two exhilarating seasons annually, we return with two more seasons each monsoon, brimming with a plethora of exhilarating games, unique activities, and boundless enjoyment. If you seek respite from the daily routine and yearn for a carefree, whimsical day, Rainathon beckons you! Past participants can attest to the sheer delight and anticipation that Rainathon promises. During the celebration of Independence Day, the tricolors sold on the street are bought home as a sign of being patriotic or at the insistence of the children. But post parade people don’t really  bother in keeping the tricolour safely.At times people drop it on roads by mistake.So,we go to the streets pick up the tricolour from footpaths or from the places people have droped tricolor. During the first flagathon walk in 2014, more than 650 tricolor flags were found lying  roadside. In 2019, 250-300 flags were picked from streets. In 2022, Bharat was celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. So, we had expected a lot of tricolours dropped. To our surprise there were not more than 25 tri-colour items found overall. Our intention was never collecting the highest flags. We were glad that there has been increase in National consciousness. People had started preserving the tricolour post celebration. 

 Moonathon is an event organised once in an year by Team Rainathon usually on a Saturday which falls close to  Full moon day. It is an event where folks from all age groups spend a weekend together having heap loads of fun while doing different activities together. It is an event where even introverts are seen socializing to their fullest.Right from cleaning to camp fire you get to do many activities. The central idea of Moonathon is basically a weekend under the full moon.
